Born in Tirana, Albania, he began his ballet studies at the Shkolla Akademike e Baletit in his native city. In 1997, he joined the Theatre of Opera and Ballet of Tirana and the following year The Theatre of Opera and Ballet of Bakú, the Azerbaijan capital, in the former Soviet Union.
In 1999, he moved to Italy to work for the Arena di VeronaTheatre and the Balletto di Parma. In September 2000, he joined the Ballet de la Comunidad de Madrid under Víctor Ullate, and during that period he was invited by Maurice Bejart to dance with the Ballet de Laussane.
In 2003, he joined the Compañía Nacional de Danza, where he has remained until now, dancing in numerous pieces by Nacho Duato, as well as with other internationally renowned choreographers, such as Ohad Naharin, William Forsythe, Örjan Andersson and Mats Ek.
In 2005, he created two choreographs for the CND workshops: Nuk e di and Korridor. Axis (2006) was his first work for the Compañía Nacional de Danza 2, followed by Sin Lo Cual No (2007). That same year, he was promoted to the rank of Principal and, in 2008, he performed the role of Romeo in the choreography by Nacho Duato, Romeo y Julieta. De paso and Aksak are his two works for the Compañía Nacional de Danza.
