Iker Rodríguez Biography

He was born in San Sebastián, Spain. He began his studies at Mentxu Medel School. At 16, he started his dance education at Real Conservatorio Profesional de Danza Mariemma, and during the three courses of classical dance he performed Larreal, dancing different roles including soloist at La Fille Mal Gardée and principal at Suite by Shostakovich. He improved his contemporary technique through a course with Netherlands Dans Theater in 2016 and dancing pieces such as Urizen by Javier Monzón.
When finishing his studies, he joined the Europa Danse Company where he performed works by Marco Goecke or Cayetano Soto among others. Shortly afterwards, he joined the Dantzaz Kompainia where he danced pieces by Itzik Galili or Martin Harriague.
In September 2018 he joins Compañía Nacional de Danza under the artistic direction of José Carlos Martínez.
