Amaury
Lebrun was born in France, where
he began her ballet studies at
the perstigious Ballet du

his career he has worked in
a number of top European dance
companies such as the Ballet
du Rhin, the Deutsche

a soloist. Over this period
he attracted critical attention
performing the work of choreographers
such as Maurice Béjart,
Carolyn Carlson, Nils Christe,
Maryse Delente, Balanchine and
José Limón among

It was during
his period at the Ballet

Nice that he began to
become seriously interested
in moving over to the role
of choreographer himself. Inspiration was
his first major piece, one
which incidentally is still
part of the Company's repertoire.
In
2002 he won his first choreography
award at the Certamen
Internacional de Burgos, festival
