Alba Carbonell Castillo
was born in Valencia, where
she began her classical ballet
studies at the Conservatorio
Profesional de Danza de Riba-Roja
del Turia. She attented
a number of summer courses
at the Víctor
Ullate Dance Cente (2002),
the Complutense University,
Madrid, the Cátedra
de Danza Alicia Alonso (2003),
the Asociación
Socio-cultural de Danza Gerard
Collins (2003), the Centro
Coreográfico de la
Generalitat Valenciana (2004),
the Conservatorio Profesional
de Danza de Riba-Roja del
Turia (2004) and the Vignale
de Monferrato (2005).
During
this same period she received
two scholarships, one to
study at the Hungarian
Dance Academy in Budapest
(2004), the other for the Real
Conservatorio de Madrid (2005).
Her
dance training has included
master classes with figures
such as Lienz Chang, Arantxa
Argüelles, Mauro Galindo, Óscar
Torrado, Aurora Bosch, Ana
María Leyte and Loipa
Araujo, among others.
In
July and August 2005 she
worked with the Ballet
Nacional de Cuba,
joining the Valencia Regional
Government’s ballet
company Ballet de Teatres
de la Generalitat Valenciana in
September that same year.
In
September 2007 she joined
the Compañía
Nacional de Danza 2.
