Clyde
E.Archer

Clyde E. Archer was
born in New York, where
he began his dance
training at the Ballet
Tech (Feld Ballet /
The New Ballet School),
working under teachers
such as Daniel Levins,
Christine Sarry and
Richard Thomas.
In
1995 he joined The
Ailey School (The
Alvin Ailey American
Dance Center) studying
with Ron Alexander,
Robert Atwood, Elena
Comendador, Lynn Glauber,
Fabrice Herrault,
Celia Marino and Cassandra
Phiffer and others.
In
1997 he joined The
Juilliard School,
under the direction
of Benjamin Harkarvy.
His formal training
completed, in 1999
he joined The
Juilliard Dance Ensemble as
a dancer.
In
2000 Clyde received
the Princess
Grace Award,
whilst a year later,
in 2001, he joined
the Compañía
Nacional de Danza for
the first time,
staying with the
Spanish national
company until 2003,
when he returned
to his native USA
to once again work
with the Alvin
Ailey American Dance
Center.
He
later returned
to Europe, dancing
for both the Goteborg
Ballet and
the Cullberg
Ballet.
In
September 2007
Clyde E. Archer
re-joined the Compañía
Nacional de Danza.
