Agon

George Balanchine

Agon is the third ballet performed by George Balanchine especially for the New York City Ballet. The word Agon is used in Greek to define the concept of "combat" in addition to "agony" or "struggle" and was a happy inspiration of Stravinsky. It would be the only Greek thing in ballet.
