Rodrigo Sanz Biography
CORPS DE BALLET
He was born in Madrid where he started his studies at the Real Conservatorio Profesional de Danza under Virginia Valero´s direction and having Valero herself as a teacher. Other teachers included Rosa Naranjo and Virginia Larrasquitu, among others.
He began at the Gran Canaria Ballet in 2007 under Anatol Yanowsky´s direction, dancing Uwe Scholz and Renato Zanella’s pieces.
In 2008 he started in the Vienna Opera Ballet under Gyula Harangoz and Manuel Legris' direction, performing classical, neoclassical and contemporary repertoires of choreographers such as Nureyev, Balanchine, Jirí Kylián, Maurice Bejart, Jorma Elo, Jerome Robbins, Roland Petit, Patrick de Bana, Twyla Tharp.
He danced in January 2011 in the Philharmonic of Vienna's TV broadcasted New Year's Eve Concert.
He joined the Compañía Nacional de Danza of Spain in September 2012 under José Carlos Martínez's direction.
