Graduate in Hispanic Philology, Autonomous University of Madrid. Maite joined the Compañía Nacional de Danza in 1992 and, since 1995, has held the post of Communication Director, directing the CND’s department of marketing, communications and press.

She has coordinated, among her artistic directors, the image and communications of the CND. She is responsible for the company’s own publications and reviews and oversees publicity and promotional materials produced by other theatres where the CND performs, coordinating with communications and press teams across Spain, Europe, USA, Asia, Australia; wherever the CND appears.

Her approach has involved e-marketing and, as the community manager of CND, she created the CND website and its associated social networks, together with other online tools, such as the newsletter and video and photo channels. She is also in charge of institutional relations, including company protocol for premiers and other CND activities, both at home in Madrid and on tour.

She has coordinated CND working teams within her department and also coordinates a team of external collaborators.

She worked alongside Nacho Duato for 18 years, with Hervé Palito for one year and with José Carlos Martínez for eight years. Her current artistic director is Joaquín De Luz.

She has given classes for different masters courses in Cultural Management in centres of learning such as Carlos III University or Rey Juan Carlos University. In 2013, the European University of Madrid (UEM) commissioned her dance advisory services for its Degree in Dance Sciences.

Previously, she worked in the publicly-owned prestige hotel chain, Paradores de Turismo, in 1985. There, she worked in the sales department, in charge of coordinating activities for foreign visitors. Later on, she worked in publishers Ediciones SM (1989-92) in the department of Infant and Junior Literature.

She studied English in Madrid’s British Institute, French in Madrid’s l’Insitut Français and Italian in the Autonomous University of Madrid.

She obtained the University of Cambridge Proficiency exam (after passing First Certificate and Advanced).

She has also carried out a variety of cultural management courses and possesses different diplomas in administrative skills in English and French (Pitman) and sales titles by the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry (English for Commerce) and by the British Chamber of Commerce in Spain.
