Contrasts
Benny Goodman, the illustrious jazz clarinetist, commissioned Béla Bartók to Contrast (a piece for piano, violin and clarinet). The selection of these instruments inspired Béla Bartók, always attentive to Hungarian folklore, to compose a sweet and sour piece.
