Pulcinella
“When Joaquín De Luz phoned to invite me to create a new version of Pulcinella for the Compañía Nacional de Danza (CND), I was thrilled. Stravinsky is one of my favourite composers and Pulcinella is such a multi-textured work. It is full of light and colour and above all, for me, it is positive, uplifting and full of energy.
This is the first time I’ve worked with the CND and, I must say, it has been an immense pleasure for me. The dancers have adapted very adeptly indeed to the choreographic language I have put to them. I am extremely grateful to them for their wholehearted enthusiasm and commitment in taking on this challenge so well.”
