Having obtained the Higher Degree in Dance, specialising in pedagogy, she worked for 10 years at the "María de Ávila" Conservatorio Superior de Danza in Madrid (under Virginia Valero as director), teaching the subjects of Classical Dance, Body Techniques, Pilates and Gyrokinesis for dancers. Since 2016, she has worked for the CND, where she teaches GYROTONIC® sessions and Pilates and Gyrokinesis warm-up for the company's dancers, in addition to playing character roles in classical ballets such as The Nutcracker, Giselle and La Sylphide.
Eva began her classical ballet studies at Madrid’s Real Conservatorio Profesional de Danza with Ana Lázaro and Virginia Valero. At the age of 15, she won First Prize at the 3rd National Dance Competition in Barcelona (with María de Ávila as president). At the age of 16 she joined the Compañía Nacional de Danza (CND), under the direction of Maya Plisestkaya, where she performed solo roles in ballets such as Raymonda, Paquita, Swan Lake, Les Sylphides, Four Temperaments, Agon and Theme and Variations, among others. At the age of 21 she went to Cuba to dance with Alicia Alonso’s Compañía Nacional, where she played the lead role in Coppelia, alongside José Manuel Carreño in the company’s Joven Guardia (or Young Guard), and the pas de deux in Flores de Genzano and Quixote. She also performed Giselle with Javier Serrano at the Compañía Nacional de Cuba, under the tutelage of Alicia Alonso and Josefina Méndez, and travelled to New York invited by the director of the American Ballet Theatre, Jane Hermann.
In 1990 she joined the Hamburg Ballet under John Neumeier, where she excelled in solo roles in ballets such as Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, Cinderella, Agon and The Sleeping Beauty (Mats Ek), as well as in leading roles in Grass by Mats Ek, The Nutcracker, the 3rd and 9th Symphonies by Mahler and John Neumeier’s Bernstein Serenade.
In 2001 she obtained her Pilates teaching qualification at Guideon Avrahami’s Body Intelligence school. In 2003, she worked as assistant to Stott Pilates training at the Victor Ullate school. From 2004 to 2019 she collaborated as coordinator of Pilates teacher training at Gabriela Solini’s Movimiento Pilates school. Her training and trainers include: Level 1 of the Franklin Method, conscious movement work; Feldenkrais with Carmen Vázquez, Mercedes Scharf and Pablo Hurtado. Rolfing movement and structural integration, with Fuensanta Muñoz. Eutony, with Hugo Perrone (Argentina); Anatomy for Movement, with Blandine Calais; Level 1 as Dance Teaching and Practitioner Training, a course taught by Lisa Howell.
Since 2011, Eva has been a Gyrotonic® and Gyrokinesis® teacher, and she trains every year in various complementary courses, such as Gyrotonic® applied to dancers, with Adrianna Thompson; Gyrokineis® and dance, with Beatriz Pascual; Therapeutic courses on shoulder, pelvis and scoliosis, with Uwe Herstreit and Osteopathy applied to Gyrotonic, with Silvia Frozzalli, among others.
She made her acting debut in 2006 at the Centro Dramático Nacional in the Tennessee Williams’ play Suddenly Last Summer directed by José Luis Sáiz.
