Arbos

Ohad Naharin

Arbos, is the work of Israeli Ohad Naharin. This is the second work by the prestigious choreographer that the Company represents, after Extracts from Kyr premiered in April 1996 at the Madrid Theater. "I felt rather human in Arbos, and the music is more like a thin thread, connecting. And the thread leads to a place that is larger than the answer that I can give, which is really the place where God is wisdom, that thing in front of which I am a nothing, like dust at its feet."

  • Wolrd premiere by: the Sydney Dance Company, at the Drama Theater, Sydney (Australia) August 30th 1989
  • Premiere by CND: at Palacio de Festivales de Cantabria, Santander (Spain), April 17th 1997
Arbos-PORTADA

“Arbos describes a place in between heaven and hell. A kind of path towards… el lugar entre el cielo y el infierno. Una especie de pasaje” – says Naharin- “I think the music is like a fine straw that leads su to a wider place than the answers I can give, which is exactly the place of wisdom, that thing in front of which I feel like nothing.”
