Alejandro Polo

Corps de ballet

He was born in Gipuzkoa (Spain) in 1997, and this is where his interest in dance first awakens at an early age. At 16, he moves to Madrid to pursue dance studies at the Fortea Professional Dance Conservatory, graduating in 2018.

In 2018, he begins his professional career at the Moravian Theatre in Olomouc, Czech Republic. Here, he has the opportunity to perform in a varied repertoire, ranging from more classical works like Giselle, La Bayadère, and Paul Chalmer’s The Picture of Dorian Gray, to more contemporary pieces such as Petr Zuska’s Solo for Three and Alena Pešková’s Blood Wedding.

In 2022, he joins the dance company of the Croatian National Theatre in Rijeka, where he focuses on more modern works. He participates in pieces such as Čajkovski by Cayetano Soto, Romeo and Juliet by Jiří Bubeníček, 4never by Jeroen Verbruggen, and Grand Finale: The Turtle and the Phone Booth by Nadav Zelner.

In November 2024 he joined the National Dance Company under the artistic direction of Muriel Romero.
