Born in Natal (Brazil), Joao began his training at the age of fifteen in the Dance School of the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma.
After graduating he received his first contract from the Paris Opera Ballet, where he stayed three years, participating in classical productions such as Don Quijote, La Bayadère, Swan Lake and Giselle, among others, as well as contemporary ones like Season’s Canon by Crystal Pite and Dante Project by Wayne McGregor.
In November of 2024 he enters the Compañía Nacional de Danza under the direction of Muriel Romero.
