He began at the Gran Canaria Ballet in 2007 under Anatol Yanowsky´s direction, dancing Uwe Scholz and Renato Zanella’s pieces, among others. In 2008 he started in the Vienna Opera Ballet under Gyula Harangoz and Manuel Legris’ direction, performing classical, neoclassical and contemporary repertoires of choreographers such as Nureyev, Balanchine, Jirí Kylián, Maurice Bejart, among others. In January 2011 he danced in the Philharmonic of Vienna’s TV broadcasted New Year’s Eve Concert.
In September 2012 he joins the Compañía Nacional de Danza under the artistic direction of José Carlos Martínez.
In 2021, under the direction of Joaquín De Luz, Rodrigo began his management work at the CND as artistic coordinator, which continues today under the direction of Muriel Romero. At the same time, he continued extending his interest and academic training in the field of dance management, finally graduating with the Official Masters Degree in Management and Administration of Cultural Industries (Máster Oficial de Dirección y Gestión de Industrias Culturales) at the UEMC. He then decided to compliment his theory base with specialised courses in Cultural Management in Public Administration and in Performance Arts Production and Management, both issued by the Cultural and Artistic Management Institute (Instituto de Gestión Cultural y Artística).
