Since I can remember, I have been dancing. My parents enrolled me in the Carmen Amaya Professional Dance Conservatory in Madrid, and at the same time, in the Tennis Federation. Years later, I decided I wanted to pursue a professional career in dance, as dance was the only thing that made me feel what nothing else could.
Over the years, I have performed several roles, such as Gamzatti (from Bayadère), Queen of Dryads (from Don Quixote), Raymonda (from Raymonda), Paquita (from Paquita), Esmeralda (from Esmeralda), and I have also had the privilege of sharing the stage with stars such as Polina Semionova and Anna Ol.
After graduating from the Carmen Amaya Professional Dance Conservatory with the graduation award, I was a trainee for two years at the English National Ballet thanks to a scholarship from Viviana Durante. There, I had the chance to work with very interesting choreographers and learn from great teachers like Zenayda Yanowsky.
After my two years in London, I was selected for the Joffrey Studio Company in Chicago, where I had the opportunity to work with several teachers and choreographers with very different styles.
During my years at the conservatory, I was a finalist in various competitions such as YAGP in Barcelona, Toulouse, Ribarroja, Castellón, earning several scholarships, and I won a silver medal in Nice.
Looking back, I feel very lucky for the family I have, who has always supported me in everything, as well as all the teachers who have helped me along the way and from whom I have learned, such as Hervé Ilari, Marlon Dino, Alicia Alcáraz, Antonio Castilla, and many more.
But above all thank you, to what I call my family at María de Ávila, whom I really appreciate: Marta Ruiz Estrampes, the great Lola de Ávila, and Marivi Hinojosa my wonderful teacher who has always been with me. Thank you for believing in me.
Now, I am starting a new chapter at the CND with the wonderful Muriel Romero and her team, and I couldn’t be more grateful and excited!
