Young audiences enjoy "La Sylphide"

This season, the Teatro de la Zarzuela has launched a great initiative to attract young audiences interested in culture.
With this important objective in mind, it offers those under 30 years of age the possibility of applying for a youth card with which they can obtain great discounts and exclusive invitations to rehearsals and other activities.
On Tuesday 6 December, many of them attended the dress rehearsal of our play, La Sylphide. Thanks to this experience, they were able to discover some of the ins and outs of the staging of this show.
We share some of the impressions of the attendees, encouraging our young audience to participate in this type of proposals.

Meet our dancers: Giada Rossi
Giada Rossi defines her relationship with dance as "a necessity". Italian by birth, Giada trained at some of the most prestigious schools in Europe, such as the Paris National Superior Conservatory of Music and Dance or London’s Royal Ballet Upper School. She has been part of the Compañía Nacional de Danza for seven years and, since 2019, has also been a soloist dancer. At the CND she has danced Love Fear Loss by Ricardo Amarante, Arriagaby Joaquín De Luz, Pino Alosa and Mar Aguiló and Apolloby George Balanchine, among others.
Be a tree now
The National Dance Company has joined the Be a Tree Now! movement, a mobilizing and open action in which dance is used so that people see and represent themselves as a tree.
The climate emergency is the biggest problem we face as a species. We must act to make visible the need to urgently apply climate justice.
Today, Tuesday, October 24, 2023, International Day against Climate Change, the presentation of this initiative by Eugenio Ampudia took place in the Botanical Garden of the Complutense University.

Mi nombre es Anthony Pina y me uní a la CND en septiembre de 2012. Como bailarín, me describiría a mí mismo como agudo y enérgico. Me encanta trabajar rápido y probar el límite de la rapidez con la que puedo moverme mientras sigo trabajando con una técnica limpia. Una de cosas que más me gusta de la danza es que es una experiencia de aprendizaje interminable. Hay tantas formas de abordar la danza y la técnica, ¡y quiero aprenderlas todas!
