Repertoire
Pas de deux Goyesque from Giselle
A masterpiece of romantic ballet, Giselle was created in 1841 at the Paris Opera, with choreography by Coralli and Perrot. Having disappeared from the Opera's repertoire in 1868, Giselle was nonetheless preserved and transmitted by the French ballet masters established in Russia (first Jules Perrot and later Marius Petipa). Giselle was danced again in Paris in 1910 by Diaghilev's Ballets Russes.
