Born in Bergamo, Italy, Elisa Ghisalberti began her training at the Ballet Studio in Bergamo and, at the age of 10, she entered the Teatro alla Scala in Milan. She completed her training at the prestigious John Cranko Schule in Stuttgart, where she graduated.
In 2014, she joined the Stuttgart Ballet, where after a few years she promoted to demi soloist. During her career in Stuttgart, she has performed solo roles in emblematic works, such as Blake Works I by William Forsythe, Petite Mort, Falling Angels and One of a kind by Jiří Kylián, Siebte Sinfonie by Uwe Scholz, Symphony in C by George Balanchine and has embodied prominent characters in choreographies by John Cranko such as Der Widerspenstigen Zähmung, Pineapple Poll, Onegin, and The swan lake, playing roles such as the Italian Princess in Tarantella, the 4 swans and the Pas de six. Additionally, she has participated as a dancer and actress in the film “John Cranko.”
In Don Quixote by Maximiliano Guerra, she has played the role of Dulcinea.
In November 2024, Elisa Ghisalberti joins the National Dance Company as soloist dancer.
