Once again, the National Dance Company celebrates International Women’s Day with a video tribute to all women. This year, our tribute to the serene power of women is inspired by the precise and precious texts of Rumi, the 13th century Persian mystic and poet. The metaphors are moving and the message is striking in its simplicity: the magic you need to shine already exists within you, find the space to listen to it carefully and, when you do, celebrate your greatness.
There could not be a more appropriate setting for this tribute than the Casa del Sol of the National Sculpture Museum of Valladolid, with the collection of the extinct National Museum of Artistic Reproductions, made between the 19th and 20th centuries by the best workshops of their time, and the contemporary white sculptures of Joan Miró.
