Felipe Domingos was born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil in 1997. His uncle inspired him to dance and led seven-year-old Felipe’s first dance class at their local church.
At age 10, Domingos started studying at Ballet Paula Gasparini in São Paulo where he graduated in 2014. After participating at Youth American Grand Prix New York Finals in 2014 he received a full scholarship to the New Zealand School of Dance where he had the opportunity to study with many international guests and perform George Balanchine’s Tarantella and Agon Concerto by Sir Kenneth MacMillan and Anna-Marie Holmes’Suite Paquita
At the age of 18 he joined the Royal New Zealand Ballet, during his two and a half years with the company, he performed in the premieres of Jiri Bubenicek’s The Piano: the Ballet, Francesco Ventriglia’s The Wizard of Oz and Romeo and Juliet Liam Scarlett’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream in Hong Kong and Wellington. He also performed William Forsythe’s In the Middle Somewhat Elevated, Roland Petit’s Carmen and L’Arlésienne, Alexander Ekman’s Episode 31 and Cacti, Jiri Kylián’s Petite Mort and Sechs Tänze.
In 2018 Felipe joined the Finnish National Ballet and his repertoire with the company include; Jorma Elo’s Alice in Wonderland, Liam Scarlett’s Carmen, Jonh Neumeier’s Sylvia, Jerome Robbins’The Concert, Infra by Wayne McGregor and Cinderella by Sir David Bintley.
