The CND fills the Sala Roja to capacity

From April 18 to 21, the Compañía Nacional de Danza will present a new mixed program composed of three top-level pieces, including two premieres that will be added to the CND repertoire.

Headscape, by Justin Peck, the country’s most in-demand choreographer, Le Jeune Homme et la Mort, by Roland Petit, based on Jean Coteu’s libretto, a CND premiere, which has not lost any of its revolutionary essence, and Cantata, by Mauro Bigonzetti, a choral work that invites the celebration of dance, instinctive and vital, which will also be performed for the first time at the Company.

With one month to go, the CND has managed to fill the Sala Roja of the Teatros del Canal to capacity, thanks to the always warm welcome with which the audience receives its dancers and team.

From the Company, we feel very fortunate to be able to represent our next premiere with such an exciting reception, still days before our arrival at the theater.

The CND performs Carmen for the last time

On April 9, 2015, thanks to the direction of José Carlos Martínez, the CND presented Carmen, in the version of Johan Inger. It was such a great success that the Company has continued to represent it in theaters around the world, leaving an indelible memory of it.

Conoce a nuestros bailarines: Sara Khatiboun

Sara Khatiboun es un bailarina de Madrid, lugar donde comienza sus estudios en el Real Conservatorio Profesional de Danza Mariemma. En 2011 ingresa en el School of American Ballet y en 2014 como guest sudent en Palucca Hoschule en Dresden. En 2016 ingresa en la Compañía Nacional de Danza.

Accessible performances

As on other occasions, the Compañía Nacional de Danza, in its commitment to cultural accessibility, will provide two accessible performances in the upcoming performances at the Teatro Fernán Gómez in June and at the Teatro de la Zarzuela in July.

New Orleans and its great reception

Our international tour began with a great success in Detroit, thanks to the performance of our piece Carmen, by Johan Inger. Once finished, we continued our route to New Orleans, Louisiana, where CND was honored with several important awards.
