Tickets sold out at Matadero!

The CND debuts its visit to Naves del Español with sold out tickets.

On November 7, the CND premiered a mixed program with great success at the Naves del Español, in Matadero, Madrid.

Receiving a warm welcome, our dedicated audience sold out all the performances on the first day. Thanks to the talent and passion that characterizes our dancers, attendees were able to enjoy the various emotions proposed by the four pieces of the show.

With a very positive response, the CND experienced the absolute premiere of Swoosh, the new creation of its director, Joaquín De Luz, in which the dancers caught the attention of the spectators with their creative steps in sneakers.

Along with it, three other works accompanied the exciting evening. Opening the show, Morgen; introduced himself; the groundbreaking proposal by Nacho Duato, followed by Kübler-Ross, a harmonious duo by Andrea Schermoly, and ending with Arriaga, by Joaquín De Luz, Mar Aguiló and Pino Alosa, whose elegance and harmony captivated the attendees.

Meet our dancers: Daniella Oropesa

Daniella Oropesa, a ballet dancer of Cuban origin, began her training at the Escuela Elemental de Ballet Alejo Carpentier. She continued with her training at the Escuela Nacional de Ballet in Havana and, in 2020, she joined Laura Alonso’s company. She has danced in different countries such as Australia and New Zeland, within the Ballet Revolución programme, as well as an invited guest dancer with Les Ballets de France in Paris. In 2017, she joined the Compañía Nacional de Danza, where she has performed in pieces such as The Nutcracker, Giselle, Concierto DSCH, Triple Bach and Arriaga, among others.

Meet our dancers: Elisabet Biosca

Barcelona-born Elisabet Biosca is a CND soloist dancer with an impressive track record performing key roles, such as Carmen, Lady Capuleto or Bathilde. She has danced numerous choreographic works, including pieces by Nacho Duato, Ohad Naharin, Jirí Kylián, William Forsythe and Alexander Ekman. She has also performed leading parts in short films combining dance and interpretation; most of them under the direction of María Salgado Gispert. She is currently studying for a higher degree in Choreography and Interpretation. She directed the piecesSN Serial Number (2014) with Antonio de Rosa, Home (2016) with Agnès López and Solitud (2017).

Nazionale Sfera d’Oro per la Danza 2023 award to Elisabetta Formento

On September 30, the dancer Elisabetta Formento was congratulated for her nomination in the fifth edition of the Premio Nazionale Sfera d'Oro per la Danza 2023, coordinated by Alfio Agostini and awarded by Gabriella Furlan Malvezzi.

Meet our dancers: Aleix Mañé

Aleix Mañé is a dancer from Tarragona, where he began his studies at the official Artemi dance center. In 2001 he entered the Institut del Teatre de Barcelona. Then, in 2003, he was awarded a scholarship at the Roseta Mauri International Competition bringing him to move to the Royal Professional Conservatory of Dance in Madrid. In 2006 he joined the Compañía Nacional de Danza under the direction of Nacho Duato.
